Yes, coffee grounds can be used as a compost ingredients. Coffee grounds would be considered a green compost matter (source of nitrogen).

Coffee grounds can also be used as fertilizer and mulch. Make sure the coffee grounds is paired with brown compost materials (e.g. dead leaves) in order to make a successful batch of compost. Worms also love coffee grounds.
