Can You Compost Coffee Filter?

Coffee Filter Compost

Yes, coffee filters can be used as compost ingredients. Coffee filters would be considered brown compost matter (source of carbon).

Make sure you only used paper-based coffee filters. You shouldn’t use any filters that may have some form of plastic coating. It should also be noted that coffee filters can take time to breakdown. You can speed up the process by shredding the coffee filters into smaller pieces.
